The Power of Pi

How many people know what pi is? Not the food, the number? Personally, I can only go out about three digits. 3.14 something something

According to my mathy friends (yes I have them), pi is a powerful number in the math world. The literal math thing about pi is that it’s the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter, and that number always approximates 3.14 something something.

Okay, so what does that have to do with my mojo, Traci? I’m not trying to be a math teacher here?

Here we go.

Math is uses to explain science, right? To explain our world and the way it works. To predict things based on probability and to determine facts.

Math creates the machines that can see inside of our bodies and can see out into space. Our very DNA helix is made up of code that can be translated into numbers, and we can use that knowledge to literally change our DNA and our destiny.

So, it’s safe to say that math and numbers are related to pretty much every aspect of life.

But here’s the thing about pi. The number pi is constant. No matter how many times you do that thing to any size circle, it’s always pi. So it’s constant.

It’s also irrational. That means that it can’t be divided into a fraction.

And, the number pi goes on to infinity. Right now they have discovered 22.4 trillion digits of pi.

And the weird question for all of us is this. Why did whomever invented the whole circle number thing not just make it 3.0? Why is it some irrational number that goes on into infinity?

Take the leap with me here… it’s because WE ARE INFINITE. The very code that makes up every person’s DNA is included in pi.

Pi is an infinite, non-repeating decimal - meaning that every possible number combination exists somewhere in PIs infinite sequence of numbers. Converted into ASCII text, somewhere in that infinite string of digits is the name of every person you will ever love, the date, time, and manner of your death, and the answers to all the great questions of the universe.

Okay, so this is a little intense for a blog, I get that. So let’s boil down my point.

You are made of numbers, in essence.

Pi contains an infinite sequence of numbers, including the numbers that make up you.

In this way, you are connected to infinity, to everything that is and everything that was or ever will be.

And, because it’s infinite, you have the power to change. Change your life. Change your destiny, if you will.

Is it a stretch to say this? Maybe. But on some level it makes sense, too.

So how can you use numbers and the Power of Pi to make your life better? Quantify stuff. Translate success into numbers.

The bottom line is this. The Power of Pi is in realizing that you are part of something bigger than yourself. You DO have the ability to change and influence the future… your future. And you don’t have to be a math person to use numbers!

Finally, here is your Weekly does of Vitamin T: It’s a quote by Nikola Tesla

Every living being is an engine geared to the wheelwork of the universe. Though seemingly affected only by its immediate surrounding, the sphere of external influence extends to infinite distance.
